How to resolve Adobe Typekit integration or syncing errors

Updated
September 14, 2016

Sometimes Adobe Typekit font integrations can fail to sync with Webflow and can usually be resolved with a few small steps.

Note: If you were to change your site's domain (perhaps from a Webflow subdomain to a custom domain), all you need to do is navigate back to your Fonts tab in Site Settings, and re-select the kit and Save.

Step 1. Check Typekit and Webflow status

Before we do any troubleshooting, let’s make sure both Webflow and Adobe Typekit systems are up and running at 100%:

Step 2. Verify Typekit API Token

  1. Open your Account Settings
  2. Go to the Integrations tab
  3. Locate your Typekit API Token
  4. Make sure the Typekit API Token is 100% correct

Step 3. Confirm your Typekit domain settings

  1. Open your Typekit Dashboard
  2. Go to the Kits tab
  3. Click on your Typekit
  4. Open the Kit Editor
  5. Click Kit Settings (top right corner of Kit Editor)
  6. Add the following domains to the Domains field:webflow.com (Webflow Designer)your-site.webflow.io (Webflow subdomain)your-custom-domain.com (custom domains; add all that apply)www.your-custom-domain.com (custom subdomains; add all that apply)any other variant of custom domain
  7. Save and Publish your Typekit Kit
  8. Save and Publish your Webflow site
NOTE: It can take up to 24 hours for your kit’s settings to update in Typekit. If your fonts are still not loading as expected after 24 hours email us immediately – we’re happy to help! :)

Step 4. Check your Typekit's usage limits

  1. Open your Typekit Account Settings
  2. Go to the Your Usage section
  3. Make sure your Typekit plan has not reached its usage limits

How to manage your synced Typekit fontsHow Adobe measures Typekit pageviews

NOTE: Typekit plans have limits on how many fonts can be synced at a given time as well as how often those fonts can be viewed in a webpage. If you have exceeded these limits, you can upgrade your Typekit plan here.
