How to add a background video to your Webflow site

1. Add the Background Video component

First, add the Background Video component, which you'll find in the Components section of the Add panel.

2. Upload a video file

Once you've dragged in the Background Video component, you can upload the video file from your computer.

The video file must be either a MOV, WEBM, OGG, or MP4 file, and cannot be larger than 30MB.

3. Preview your background video

Once it's uploaded, switch to Preview mode to see how your video looks on the live site.

Change your background video

If you ever need to replace your background video, just click the Background Video component, and click Replace Video in the Settings panel.
